About Us
Aerospace Valley Futures is an organization that supports quality of life, professional development, and entrepreneurship in the Eastern Sierra Aerospace Corridor. We centrally organize and promote all of the great aspects of professional and personal life in Aerospace Valley while functioning as a "utility infielder" for realizing community goals. We are dedicated to "rolling up our sleeves" and helping various government, industry, and non-profit partners move community and economic development projects forward to help the region truly reach its full potential.

The organization was founded in early 2020 by a coalition of education, government, military, and civilian contractor leaders from all across Kern County. We are currently focused on the following six initiatives:

1. Gather together and centrally organize all of the "insider information" about leisure & living options in our rural, geographically-dispersed area currently hosted on dozens of individual industry, government, and municipal websites;
​
2. Support efforts to develop a "home grown pipeline" of talent by promoting STEM education, assisting with access to our area's network of makerspaces, and organizing young professional networking & aerospace career opportunities for our local Kern County K-12, community college, and university students.

3. Work with the Air Force, Navy, and their civilian contractor partners to broaden their pursuit of tech transfer opportunities.
​
4. Incubate and assist entrepreneurs in the creation of new lifestyle businesses for the region's communities.
​
5. Assist government and non-profit partners in increasing the well-being and economic vitality of our region's disenfranchised communities.
​
6. Cooperate with regional, statewide, national, and international partners to bring in additional grant funding and investment capital to our region.
